This pair of denim from Jun Takahashi is the original Autumn-Winter 2004 ‘But Beautiful’version of the ’68/Yarn’ denim that would be famously re released in a variety of colors for the 2010 ZOZOTOWN exclusive drop. This version however has some key differences; distressing is wider and spans all the way down the thigh, more thick and heavy stitching across front, thicker yarn with string draped infront of the yarn, baggier fit and just look so much better. These take heavy inspiration from the 1970’s-1980’s punk rock takeover as many of jun’s pieces did such as the iconic ‘Scab’ collection and the highly praised 85 denim throughout the intericate stitching and do it yourself look. Absolutely gorgeous piece of history that perfectly represents Jun Takahashi’s design language. This pair is actually a sample, no real differences besides the washtag but cool fact.
