Hedi Slimane’s time at Dior from 2000-2007 is revered as one of the most influential periods in fashion history drawing tons of punk rock inspiration. From jeans with a 38 inch inseam to give a stacked effect, Slim fitting jackets and tees, and heavily waxed denim he has too many iconic designs to mention. His successor Kris Van Assche had a similar design language to Hedi for his 11 year period as creative director for Dior. After he graduated in 1998 and moved to Paris he was appointed as Hedi Slimane’s assistant for his Rive Gauche Homme line for Yves Saint Laurent. This piece comes from Hedi Slimane’s Autumn Winter 2006 collection. Slick pair of jeans with the classic claw mark. No flaws.
