In 2001, Watanabe launched his eponymous label, Junya Watanabe, which retained much of the experimental spirit of Comme des Garçons, but with his unique twist. His designs feature deconstructed garments, unexpected shapes, and an emphasis on material manipulation—concepts he learned from Kawakubo. His connection to Comme des Garçons helped Watanabe establish a strong reputation within avant-garde fashion circles, blending traditional Japanese craftsmanship with contemporary, subversive design. This long sleeve from his Spring-Summer 2002 poem collection features poems throughout and a nice pink color. Used, no major flaws.
